WOW! Rocker makes Author site!

Hi everyone I recently made an Author website. It was a very good write up about my book.
I’m so excited that I met Mary Metcalfe online. She hosts a website for authors and she does a wonderful job doing unique posts for the featured author. Give it a try, check out all the authors who are on her site. We’re all just trying to get our stories out there.

Click here to check her out.

It’s intersting reading. You might find a book for the holidays to treat yourself or a gift for the reader on your list.
Enjoy!
Happy reading,
Monica

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

Traditional thanksgiving dinner

What is Thanksgiving?  It’s a time to be with family and friends and some will say the TV to watch Football.  But how ever you decide to spend this Holiday it’s all about being Thankful for the good things in your life.  With so much rushing from Halloween to Christmas— Thanksgiving gets the short end of the stick.  We know it’s mostly a food Holiday but it shouldn’t get so little attention.  It’s a good day to spend with important people in your life and enjoy some fun.

 Hope everyone enjoys this holiday.
Happy turkey day to all!! Monica

What’s your favorite Halloween song?

Here are 4 classic Halloween songs: starting with an oldie but goodie from 1962   “Monster Mash”. It was a novelty song done by Bobby “Boris” Pickett. It’s been a holiday favorite ever since. “Warewolves of London” came out in 1978 performed by Warren Zevon and was in the top 40 of that year for six weeks. “This is Halloween” came out in 1993 from the Tim Burton movie “The Nightmare before Christmas” and for the 13th ReRelease in 2006 it was done by Marilyn Mason. But of all the Halloween songs the most popular is  “THRILLER”  by Michael Jackson which was release in 1983. Only after the music video came out a few months later did it become a worldwide sensation.  Thriller was made at the beginning of the video era and was by far the most elaborate Music video ever made.  It ran over 13 minutes, had detailed choreography, fantastic makeup and spooky Vincent Price.  This song and video will surely go down in history for generations to come as an all time favorite Halloween experience.

Alphas is a Cool Show!

Alphas TV show

Any SyFy fans out there?  I really like this show, but missed it several times last season because it only was on at 1am. Don’t know what the SyFy network was thinking showing an original show at such an odd hour. But I am glad to see that it was put on at a normal time once at 8PM and again at 10PM on Monday night. This show has lots of action, a good story and also has some great background music (hint hint) this past show had “No Reflection” by Manson and a few shows ago his version of “Sweet dreams”.  Really cool….. If you haven’t watched this show yet I highly recommand you try it.

New KISS CD MONSTER

Classic KISS cover

The new MONSTER KISS CD is now out.  Personally I have not heard it yet.  People are saying it’s more like the older KISS style.   Please give reviews ….  at present I’m undecided if I am buying it. I’m a long time KISS fan since my teens , just not sure about this one.  Please convince me and others if you like it.

thanks and keep rocking,
Monica

Vince Neil performs with broken foot

Vince sure is a trooper

The show does go on thanks to Vince Neil.  He’s a true professional that a broken foot won’t stop him from performing or disappointing the fans. Like many long timers Vince knows the imporance of the fans.  Keep on rockin Vince — we all love you and wish you the best!                                                                                                                                                  Hey if anyone reading this saw Vince performing with the boot, tell us how it was.

Happy rockin everyone,   Monica

MANSON & ZOMBIE Twins of Evil Tour

Twins of Evil Tour

This sounds like an awesome show! I’ve also heard that at some concerts there are special packages to buy for meeting the artists.  Does anyone have any experience with this if so tell us?  Personally, I’d be afraid to buy such high priced tickets & not be able to get in if it’s a scam.    But if it’s true how many people can get to buy these kinds of tickets and how long do you really get to talk with the artists?                 Happy concert going,    Monica

Were you at Rhythm & Roots?

A Little Free Advertisement

Hey I was there, made it two out of the three days.  It was a good time.  I got in a lot of exercise this weekend, Friday the walk to the car was more then the few times we walked up and down Sate St.  There was so many different things to eat. If you weren’t hungry before you got there all the smells surely would make you. And there were lots of people, funny though I didn’t run into anyone I knew.   Out of all the music I did get to hear Tift Merritt would be my favorite pick. I really enjoyed her performance.  Any one else with their comments..

Happy listening,
Monica
